FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Karen has been working on the vision for Heaven on Earth for over 20 years. She loves being in the presence of both animals and nature, and can be found sitting with the animals on a stump for hours dreaming up what’s next for the sanctuary.

SANCTUARY DIRECTOR

Shelly grew up with horses and loves all creatures great and small. She is equally at home with a 2000 lb cow, as a small duck. Shelly ensures each of our animals get their food, shelter and love needs met every day. She keeps the supplies fully stocked and manages the never ending lists of jobs for staff and volunteers.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Stephanie comes to HOE with decades of sanctuary experience. Her deep knowledge of animal species, sanctuary operations, protocols and policies ensure that HOE is functioning well and meets the highest national standards for sanctuary care.

ANIMAL CARETAKER

Kayla loves a tidy farm and ensures every resident has clean fresh water, even the ones who choose the mud. Her giant smile persists, from pig poo pickup, sheep massages, gossling socializing to cow fertilizer delivery (aka cow poo pickup.)

FACILITIES MANAGER

Always with a bright smile, Manuel ensures all animals have the proper fencing and shelter to meet their safety and happiness needs. He knows every underground connection, all systems at the farm, runs the equipment, manages an expert building crew, and of course knows the names of our residents.
